Specialty Lab Testing

How it Works: Your Path to Data-Driven Health.

Step 1: Select & Purchase:

Choose the diagnostic panel that aligns with your health goals and complete your purchase online.

Step 2: Complete Intake Form

After checkout, you will receive a brief medical intake form via email. This must be completed to generate your lab requisition form or ship your at-home kit.

Step 3: Collection

For At-Home Kits: Your kit will be mailed directly to you with detailed collection instructions. For Blood Draws: You will receive a lab requisition form to take to a local ARCpoint Labs or LabCorp location. Note: A small venipuncture fee is typically charged at the draw site.

Step 4: Results & Analytics

Once the lab processes your samples, your results will be delivered to you.

Step 5: Review (Optional)

To deep-dive into your data, we recommend scheduling a consultation with an Aervita practitioner to build a personalized optimization plan based on your findings.

Why Biomarker Testing Beats Waiting for Symptoms

Most health problems announce themselves in your biomarker data years before they announce themselves as symptoms. A standard annual physical checks a handful of markers and calls anything inside a broad range “normal.” Biomarker lab testing flips that script: our Baseline Wellness Test alone reads 96 biomarkers across thyroid, metabolic, immune, and lipid systems, and the Complete Baseline expands to more than 300 by adding gut health and micronutrient analysis.

The difference is not just quantity — it is interpretation. A biomarker sitting at the edge of “acceptable” can still be far from optimal for you, and patterns across markers often say more than any single number. That is why the option we recommend most is Step 5: sitting down with an Aervita practitioner who reads your biomarker results in the context of your history, your goals, and everything else we offer as an integrative medicine clinic.

Testing is also the honest way to measure whether anything you are doing is working. Patients who pair biomarker panels with functional medicine plans, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, or a membership re-test after a season of work — and let the data, not the marketing, declare the verdict.

What Your Biomarker Panels Actually Measure

Metabolic and lipid markers show how your body handles fuel — blood sugar regulation, insulin dynamics, and the cholesterol particles that matter for long-term cardiovascular health. These are the numbers most people think they know from their physical, read here in far finer grain.

Thyroid markers govern energy, temperature, weight, and mood. A single TSH value — the usual annual-physical approach — can look fine while the fuller thyroid picture explains years of unexplained fatigue. Our panels read the pattern, not just the headline.

Immune and inflammatory markers act as the body’s smoke detectors: quiet, chronic inflammation shows up in biomarker data long before it shows up as a diagnosis. Watching these values over time is one of the most useful habits in preventative health.

Hormone markers map the signaling systems behind sleep, stress, recovery, and vitality for both men and women. Because hormones move in relation to each other, interpretation matters as much as measurement — another reason the practitioner review earns its place.

Micronutrient and gut markers — the Complete Baseline’s additions — reveal what your body is actually absorbing and how the digestive system that feeds every other system is performing. Deficiencies here quietly undermine everything downstream, and they are among the most fixable findings in the entire panel.

Who Biomarker Testing Serves Best

Four groups get outsized value from biomarker lab tests. The optimizer, who feels good and wants the data to keep it that way. The mystery patient, whose symptoms are real but whose standard labs keep coming back “normal.” The rebuilder, using our therapies or a functional medicine plan and wanting objective proof of progress. And the planner, thinking in decades — for whom an annual baseline is simply what responsible maintenance looks like.

Preparing for Your Test

Preparation is panel-specific, and your kit or requisition comes with exact instructions — some tests ask for fasting or a morning collection, others do not care. Two universal tips: schedule blood draws for a calm morning rather than squeezing them into a chaotic day, and keep your intake form accurate, because the practitioner reading your results leans on it for context. When in doubt about a medication or supplement before testing, ask us rather than guessing.

One honest caveat: no biomarker panel replaces your physician, an emergency room, or a diagnosis. What testing does is shrink the guesswork — for you, for us, and for any other provider you share the results with. In a health system that usually waits for something to break, arriving with data is a quiet superpower.

Signature or Specialty: Choosing Your Path

Think of the two menus this way. Signature panels — Baseline Wellness and Complete Baseline — answer the broad question, “how is my body doing overall?” They are the right starting point for almost everyone, because breadth is what finds the thing you were not looking for. Specialty panels answer narrow questions with depth: is this fatigue thyroid-related, is my gut driving this inflammation, is a hidden exposure like mold or a tickborne infection part of my story?

The efficient sequence for most patients is breadth first, depth second. Run a baseline, review it with a practitioner, and let the findings nominate which specialty biomarker panels — if any — deserve your money next. Testing everything at once is rarely necessary; testing nothing and guessing is worse. The middle path, guided by data and an honest advisor, is where the value lives. And if a specialty question is already burning — a suspected food, a family history you want mapped, symptoms that follow water-damaged buildings — it is perfectly reasonable to run that panel alongside your baseline; your practitioner will make sure nothing overlaps and nothing is wasted.

Biomarkers Are the Backbone of Longevity Care

Ask anyone serious about healthy aging what they track, and the answer is biomarkers — because you cannot manage what you never measure. At Aervita, baseline panels anchor our longevity-minded patients’ yearly rhythm: test, review, adjust, re-test. Over the years that habit produces something rare in healthcare — a longitudinal record of your own body, owned by you. The re-test is also where our recommendations face the scoreboard, and that accountability is why biomarker testing sits at the center of how this clinic practices.

“Normal” vs. Optimal: How We Read Ranges

Laboratory reference ranges describe the population that happens to get tested — not the range where people feel and function best. That is why two people with identical “normal” results can live in very different bodies. When our practitioners review biomarker results, they read them against optimal ranges and against you: your history, your symptoms, your goals, and your previous panels when you have them. A number drifting within the normal band, year over year, is information worth acting on before it ever crosses a line.

This is also why we resist the temptation to grade a panel with a single score or color. Bodies are systems, and the interesting findings usually live in relationships — a thyroid pattern plus a micronutrient gap plus an inflammatory whisper that, together, explain the afternoon crashes no single marker would. Breadth finds the threads; a good reader ties them together. Bring your results review, and expect to leave with a short list of priorities rather than a pile of printouts.

Biomarker Lab Tests in Edina: Frequently Asked Questions

A biomarker is any measurable indicator of what is happening inside your body — a hormone level, a vitamin, an inflammatory protein, a cholesterol particle. One biomarker is a data point; dozens read together become a picture. Our panels are built to paint that picture in enough detail to act on.

Five steps: choose your panel and purchase online, complete a brief medical intake form, collect your sample — an at-home kit mailed to you, or a lab requisition for a local ARCpoint Labs or LabCorp draw — then receive your results, with an optional practitioner review to turn the data into a plan. Most of it happens from your couch.

It varies by panel and lab, but most results arrive within a couple of weeks of the lab receiving your sample. At-home kits add shipping time in both directions, so build that into your expectations. When your results land, you will be notified — and the optional review consult can be scheduled right away.

The panels are cash-pay with transparent pricing, purchased directly online. Many patients use HSA/FSA funds where their plan allows, and we can provide documentation for reimbursement claims. The venipuncture fee at blood-draw sites is separate and paid at the draw location.

For most goals, annually is the sensible rhythm for a full baseline — and quarterly or twice-yearly re-tests of specific markers when you are actively working on something. Your practitioner will recommend a cadence tied to your plan rather than a subscription you do not need.

Choose your panel through the buttons above and purchase online — the intake form follows by email, and your kit or requisition arrives shortly after. Unsure which panel fits? Call or text (952) 213-6386, email info@aervita.com, or reach us through the contact page and we will point you to the right starting spot.

Want the independent view first? The National Library of Medicine’s MedlinePlus lab test guide explains individual biomarkers in plain language — a good companion as you decide which panel fits, and afterward as you read your own results.

What Patients Say About Biomarker Testing

No pushy tactics, just openly sharing their extensive knowledge in the health arena. I highly recommend doing the biomarker testing, for the price it's the best deal I've come across for testing over 90 biomarkers in the blood and being able to to sit down with a professional and discuss the results is worth every penny. Also, I return week after week to use the LED light bed. It's my go to when I want to recharge.

In 2020 my gut health took a turn on me. So much trial and error over the years trying to feel like myself again. Dr Jaron introduced me to the Gut Zoomer and then a prescribed treatment plan. Very happy!! Hockey the other night I felt the best I have in 2 1/2 years. Hard to explain but felt like I could fully exert myself. No upper chest gas pressure and just a couple little burps. But in my head it was like - oh yeah, this is how I used to feel. I'd gotten so used to not, it felt great to have that sense again. If you have been dealing with gut issues that no one can figure out I HIGHLY recommend Aervita to get your health back!

I am grateful that I found Aervita. Dr. Jaron has helped me end a cycle of skin rashes that went on for years and were unbearable in the winter. We were able to get to the core of the issue by doing very specific testing and a definitive plan. I am happy to be able to wear sweaters in the winter again!

Dr. Faber is an amazing clinician and I regularly refer him patients that need more extensive lab work and hyperbaric oxygen. I'm always hesitant to refer people to "functional medicine" providers, because the approach is often very generic, ie you're deficient in x, so we give you y. Dr. Jaren is so talented at looking at the entire picture and coming up with a well rounded plan that actually works holistically. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a thorough, thoughtful clinician.

I came to Aervita looking for effective methods to add to my treatment plan for Lyme, autoimmune disease, and gut issues and was very pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable the doctors were of my complex health situation to be able to recommend a great treatment plan that has really helped me heal. They truly care about taking the time to listen to their patients, which is hard to come by!! I would recommend to anyone.
